We are a family team made up of Wife, Mom, and Best Friend, Roxanne Blaze.
Roxanne is the primary sponsor, accountant and cheering section for the team.
The position of Crew Chief, occasional driver and primary critic goes to Kaile
Blaze. Kaile is a 19 year old Pre-Veterinary Medicine major at Bethany
College in Bethany WV. Kaile is also a B level rider with the United States Pony
Club.
Assistant Crew Chief, yet to be driver and chief go-fer at the track is 16 year old Kelsey Blaze. Kelsey is a Sophomore at Southwick High with
her sights set on a major in Forensic Medicine at a college yet to be
determined. Kelsey is a C2 level rider with the United States Pony Club and a
Senior Team cheerleader.
That only leaves Driver and everything else. This task falls to me, David
Blaze. Our car number is 46
because I couldn't think of
any other and it was my age when I started racing. That was 3 years ago. I work
as a Senior Project Manager for ABA-PGT in Manchester CT, a precision molder of
plastic gears and builder of precision molds for injection molding.
We are fortunate in that over the past 30 years we have acquired the tools and
equipment to keep the team running. We have a fairly well equipped shop with a
Bridgeport, lathe, Surface grinder, Valve grinding equipment, TIG, MIG and ARC
welding capability as well as a bunch of big hammers and pipes for when finesse
and a delicate touch just don't get it done.
Right now the car is being
massaged by Scott Viets before its new coat of paint.
